Valati: Tale of Tales is the directorial debut of Devan. The film was released in theaters on 21 July. The film is told from the perspective of the dogs. Valati: Tale of Tales features several dogs, a rooster and an ensemble cast including Raveena Ravi, Roshan Mathew, Dev Mohan, Saubin Shahir and Mahima Nambiar. The film was released at a time when the menace of stray dogs in Kerala was making headlines. Valati: Tale of Tales has been well received by the audience. Recently Devan shared a video to express his gratitude. He was extremely overwhelmed by the audience response to his film, including children who appreciated his work. He shared that he dedicated the last four years to this film, which required a lot of hard work. Devan acknowledged that this is his first film and he is open to constructive criticism. In an interview, Devan revealed that he did not make the film to change anyone’s opinion about animals. He just presented a story in which there is a certain innocence attached to dogs.
