Duo arrested for ferrying liquor illegally in Gurgaon | Gurgaon News – Times of India

Gurgaon: A truck driver and a conductor were arrested from KMP highway on Saturday evening for allegedly ferrying liquor from Punjab to Jharkhand illegally.
An FIR was registered at Bilaspur police station on Sunday against the duo under sections 420 (cheating), 467 (mischief leading to damage or loss), 468 (forging documents) of the IPC and section of the Excise Act.
The two has been identified as Vibhash Kumar Chaudhary, alias Bibhash, and Manish Chaudhary — natives of Bihar.
Manesar crime branch in-charge inspector Lalit Kumar said, “We received a tip off that a truck carrying liquor illegally from Ludhiana would reach Jharkhand via KMP. We blocked the Pachgaon area. The truck approached from Kundli border. The driver told us they were ferrying mustard cakes. While checking, we found liquor bottles in the truck.”
