Farm body leaders reached Delhi to take back the protesting wrestlers. Chandigarh News – Times of India

Bathinda: State leaders and workers of farmers’ organization BKU Ekta Dakonda (Manjit faction) reached Delhi’s Jantar Mantar on Saturday in support of the protesting wrestlers demanding the arrest of Wrestling Federation of India President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.
Brij Bhushan has been accused of sexual harassment by some wrestlers, including a minor, and the police have registered two FIRs against him. However, the protesting wrestlers demand that they should be arrested and sacked at the earliest.
Assuring full support to the wrestlers, the farmer’s organization said that they are with the victims in their struggle for justice.
Kisan Sangathan president Manjit Singh Dhaner and general secretary Harnek Singh Mahma said the long-time medal-winning women wrestler was leveling serious allegations against the WFI chief, but two cases were registered against her on Friday itself. Both said, we support the demand for his arrest. “We will support the struggle till they are put behind bars,” he added.
Both also said that the central government was making claims women empowermentBut even the voices of internationally renowned wrestlers who brought laurels to the country were not ready to be heard.
Earlier, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra had come out in support of the protesting wrestlers on Friday. Delhi’s chief minister Arvind Kejriwal met the protesters on Saturday.
