Four killed in car-MUV collision in Karnataka’s Dakshina Kannada | Mangaluru News – Times of India

Mangaluru: Four people, including a four-year-old child, were killed and 20 injured in an accident between a car and a multi-utility vehicle (MUV) at Nettana in Bilinele near Kadaba in Karnataka’s Dakshina Kannada on Tuesday.
The deceased have been identified as Ullas (28), Ganesh (26), Tanvik (4), who were traveling in a car and Netravati (28), who was in the MUV.
The occupants of the car were residents of Tagare in Belur taluk of Hassan, while those in the MUV were residents of Chandanahalli in Belur taluk.
The injured include Meghna, Nischal, Kusuma, Varsha, Sangeeta, Tejas, Sushila, Anand, Ganvi, Deepa, Hansani, Shivani, Shobha, Raghu, Sanju, Rajesh and Renuka.
Police said that there were a total of more than 20 people in both the vehicles.
It is learned that those in the car were going from Dharmasthala to Subrahmanya and those in the MUV were returning from Subrahmanya.
The accident happened around 2.30 in the afternoon.
