Speaking to ETimes, FWICE general secretary, Ashok Dubey said, “As per the rule, if a south choreographer works in Hindi films, he has to hire 70 per cent local dancers and the rest 30 per cent can be from the south.” The same applies to Mumbai’s choreographers. He has been flouting rules in most of his films in Hindi, including Salman Khan’s Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan and Shahid Kapoor’s film produced by Maddock. .
Jani primarily works in the Telugu industry, though she has also worked in Kannada, Tamil and Hindi films. He is especially known for his western and folk style dances and recently his choreography for the song Butta Bomma in the Telugu film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo became very popular.
