Ludhiana: Sarabha Nagar Police busted a gang of miscreants who would steal cash from houses on the pretext of repairing almirah locks. On April 2, the accused targeted a house in New Ashapuri area and stole gold jewellery.
The arrested accused have been identified as Sher Singh, Raju Singh and Kirpal Singh, residents of Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Sarabha Nagar police apprehended them while investigating a case of theft in New Ashapuri area.Police received a complaint from Rahul Aggarwal, a resident of New Ashapuri, who said that the accused were going around the area announcing that they repair locks. The complainant said that they wanted to get a lock repaired, for which they invited the accused inside the house. The accused repaired the lock and left. Later, they discovered that gold ornaments kept inside the almirah had been stolen. tnn
