HC Bench disposed of 375 cases in Lok Adalat. Hubli News – Times of India

Dharwad/Hosapete: 375 cases of various nature disposed National A Lok Adalat was organized at the High Court bench in Dharwad on Saturday.
The Lok Adalat was held simultaneously in five benches constituted in the Court. High Court Justices S Vishwajit Shetty, V Sreeshanand, Anil Katti and Venkatesh Naik presided over the bench.
A total of 858 cases were identified for disposal, out of which 375 cases were disposed off.
The highlight of the Lok Adalat was a 37-year-old property dispute which was settled by a bench headed by Justice SJ Pandit. The case was settled through arbitration.

The couple gave flower bouquets to each other and sweets were distributed.
Court reunites separated couples in Hosapete
Two couples, who had approached the court for divorce due to marital discord, were reunited during the Lok Adalat.
National Lok Adalat was held in the city court on Saturday, where this rare incident took place. Two daughters of one family were married to two brothers of another family. But due to rift in the marriage, six years ago both the couples approached the court for divorce. Now the same court has united both the couples.
Siblings Sridhar Kerur and Shashidhar Kerur were married to sisters. Ashwini and Nandini from Huvinahadgali. Differences emerged and both the couples filed for divorce. The case went on for six years, but he did not get relief. The credit goes to the Hosapete judges, lawyers and APP for reuniting these couples.
After reuniting in Lok Adalat, the Ashwini-Sridhar Kerur couple with their son Rohit, and the Nandini-Shashidhar Kerur couple with their son Ravi Tejas happily return home. The children who were away from their parents were happy.
1,850 cases disposed
A total of 1850 cases were settled in the National Lok Adalat held on Saturday in the city’s court premises. The loan recovery was more than Rs.6 crore. Compromiseable cases were settled. District Judge Abdul Rehman A Nandagadi, Principal Senior Civil Judge Hemlata Hullur and Principal Civil Judge Kishan B Madalgi were present.
