32 percent less rain than normal during a week

Monsoon has weakened in the state during the last one week. Due to this, from June 27 to July 3, there has been 32 per cent less rainfall than normal. Except Shimla, Sirmaur and Solan districts, all other districts have received less rainfall than normal. Lahaul Spiti, Hamirpur and Una have received nominal rainfall during the seven days.

Heavy rainfall between 24 and 27 June

At the same time, after the entry of monsoon, between June 24 and 27, 135 percent more rainfall than normal was recorded. Then due to heavy rains, there was heavy damage to government and private property and property worth Rs 274 crore was destroyed in four days. So far 28 people have lost their lives in the monsoon due to various reasons.

Six houses have been completely and 42 partially damaged due to heavy rains and landslides. Similarly, 353 domesticated cattle have also become the victim of famine. 27 roads in the state are still closed due to heavy rains.
