The latest chargesheet is based on an investigation into the allegation that a piece of land bought for Rs 1.8 crore by a company formed with the objective of carrying out the scam was sold to the Lalu family for just Rs 1 lakh.
The investigation also revealed, the charge sheet claimed, that the land parcels in question were adjacent to plots that were already owned by the Lalu family, and their owners were transferred to the plots in exchange for Group D jobs in the Railways. was tempted to do.
The CBI claimed that the accused had allegedly collected applications and documents of such candidates through associates and then sent them to the West Central Railway for processing and providing jobs.
