But will Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan recreate the magic of Salman’s films as it used to be before the pandemic? Producer and film business expert Girish Johar points out that there are many factors in Kisii Ki Bhai Kisii Jaan that were not there before the pandemic.

He says that earlier watching Salman films used to be an integral Eid celebration. However, now some factors have changed. “The box office dynamics, audience consumption pattern and quality consumption have changed post the pandemic. Salman is facing these changing factors for the first time as a solo release (Radhe was a digital release in India and in Antim, he was not headlining the film.) These changing factors when it comes to Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Baat Will play Ki Jaan,” he says, adding that we have seen how unpredictable the box office has been in the last two years, so it may not be fair to compare Salman’s film’s box office collections pre- and post-pandemic.

He said that Eid is on Saturday and not on Friday, it might affect the film. “If the film is good, then the film will have a bumper opening on Saturday considering the Eid celebrations. But if the word of mouth is not in favor of the film on Friday, it may affect the film’s box office this time.”

Nevertheless, Johar believes that the buzz of Kiski Ki Bhai Kiski Ki Jaan is good and it can open up to at least Rs 15 crore or even Rs 18 crore. Mohan also predicts a similar opening-day collection. However, he believes that the film stands a chance to collect Rs 85 crore to Rs 100 crore in its opening weekend.
