Light Rains Forecast For Two Days | Rajkot News – Times of India

Rajkot: People got a respite from the blistering heat as temperatures in major cities and town fell below 40 degrees celsius on Saturday. The highest temperature of 38.8C was recorded in Surendranagar while the union territory of Diu recorded the lowest daytime temperature of 30C. The mercury levels by 2 to 3 degrees below normal at most places, according to the India Meterological Department (IMD) bulletin.The change in weather was attributed to the the cyclonic circulation over South Rajasthan and adjoining North Gujarat, some parts of which also received light rainfall. IMD has forecast light rains or thunder showers at some places in Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Mahisagar, Dahod and Kutch districts for two days beginning Sunday. tnn
