Making paginated mode the default for Google Docs – Times of India

Google Recently pageless format has been added for docs on the web. This feature was already available in Docs for Android. 9to5Google has reported that Google is now making paginated mode the default for Docs.
according to the report, Google DocsGoing forward, when users open a document for the first time, they will start seeing pages and page breaks on the web. As per the report, the new change is aimed at making the docs experience uniform across different platforms – web and mobile – in this case.
It’s important to note that paginated mode only works when a document is set to pageless format. This means users will only be able to see pages and page breaks in pageless format.
The new changes will make things even better for Docs users on tablets and other large-screen devices. However, the company hasn’t specified anything so it is expected that the change is coming to both mobile and tablet screens.
The new paged default in Google Docs for Android is now slowly rolling out to all users.
Google optimizes Drive app for foldable devices
Google is working towards optimizing its apps and services to work better on the foldable device. The company has now updated the Google Drive Android app. As part of the update, users will now see that controls within the item preview viewer will intelligently respond to what state the foldable device is in (opened, closed, or only partially opened) and adjust accordingly.
Meanwhile, Google recently announced its Pixel Fold smartphone powered by the Tensor G2 chipset and an improved folding mechanism. Along with this, the company has also introduced a pretty capable camera setup on the device.
