Man Barges Into Banker’s House, Tries To End Life | Nagpur News – Times of India

Nagpur: In a weird incident, a 22-year-old man entered the apartment of a bank manager in Dhantoli and attempted to end his own life. Shankar Dhurve, who had self-inflicted stab wounds, was swiftly taken to a nearby private hospital for treatment.
Dhurve left a woman and her children stunned as he forcibly entered their apartment and requested a knife from her to end his life. Startled by his actions, the woman and her children quickly ran out of the apartment, locking it from the outside before raising an alarm. Dhurve claimed he was being chased by assailants and wanted to end his life.
Dhurve shattered a glass showcase and used a sharp piece of it to injure himself. The building’s watchman and other residents intervened, entering the apartment, and rushing Dhurve to the hospital. The Dhantoli police have filed charges against Dhurve for the incident.
78-yr-old duped of ₹37 lakh
A senior citizen, aged around 78-year-old, was duped to the tune of Rs37 lakh by online fraudsters luring him with a promise of lucrative returns on shares. The victim received calls from unknown numbers, with the callers enticing him with high returns upon investing in shares. The victim was made to download apps and invest through it.
He was convinced seeing his investment growing in the app but later discovered that he was unable to withdraw any funds. It was then he realized he had been defrauded. tnn
