Manoj Bajpayee played a psychopathic killer Raghavan in his 2001 film ax Antonym Amitabh Bachchan Who played the role of a cop named Manu Verma. In a new interview, Manoj talks about Raghavan and how his character was thought of before the character of Joker played by him Heath Ledger In Christopher Nolan2008 film dark Knight,
During the conversation, Manoj remembered the scene where Amitabh’s character interrogates Raghavan who talks about society and rules, and how without it, everyone would turn evil.
When asked about its similarity between the interrogation scene batman and The Joker in The Dark Knight, Manoj said that he and his friends have always discussed how they were the first people to come up with a character similar to the Joker. He said that if he had said this earlier, people would have called him arrogant. He then revealed that it took him 6-7 months to craft the character of Raghavan and how he got down to the task of embodying the evil perfectly.
Manoj He said that the dialogues given to him were in English and he had to improvise them with Hindi dialogues. He approached the character with trepidation and recalled preparing while living in Atlanta in the US.
He mentioned that he was sitting in a bar and noticed how attractive the bottles of wine looked, although there was something poisonous in them. This helped him understand what should be cast in Raghavan and make the evil charming.
