A 24-year-old MBBS student allegedly ended his life at the hostel of Bengaluru Medical College on Monday.
The deceased, Naveen Kumar Kadkol, a resident of Dharwad, had left a note in his shirt pocket, which was recovered by the police, where he had apologized to his parents for his extreme step. Police is probing to find out the reason.
The incident came to light when his roommate, who had gone to his hometown, returned and found the door locked from inside. When there was no response even after knocking repeatedly, he informed the hostel management, who in turn informed the police before breaking open the door. VV Puram police have registered a case of unnatural death and are investigating.
