Officials said that all the civil, bridge and track contracts for the construction of viaducts, bridges, stations and tracks for the entire 352 km alignment passing through 8 districts of Gujarat and DNH were awarded over a period of 2 years.
The first civil contract (C-4 package) for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed ​​Rail Project was awarded on October 28, 2020 and the contract agreement was signed on November 26, 2020.
NHSRCL announced that the number of piles that had surfaced was 28,293.
NHSRCL said that the highest haulage in November is 14.36 kms.
According to officials, land acquisition in Gujarat and Maharashtra was more than 98%.
In Gujarat, 98.87 per cent of land acquisition was completed while in Maharashtra it was 98.22 per cent. In Dadra and Nagar Haveli, land acquisition was complete, and no more land was to be acquired.
NHSRCL had said in December that it had got possession of the Bandra-Kurla station.
The project includes the first undersea tunnel which will be between the Bandra-Kurla Complex in Maharashtra and the underground station at Shilphata. The seven-km (approx) section of the under-sea tunnel at Thane Creek (intertidal zone) will be the first under-sea tunnel to come up in the country.
The tunnel will have a tube to accommodate the twin track for both the up and down track. Twenty nine equipment rooms at 37 locations will be constructed along the tunnel site as part of the package.
