Odisha BJP General Secretary Lekhshree Samantasinghar said that Nadda is coming to the state as part of his ‘Lok Sabha Pravasi’ campaign.

Party sources said BJP president JP Nadda is scheduled to address two public meetings and inaugurate a new ‘kanyashra’ (girls’ hostel) in Odisha’s tribal-dominated Kandhamal district on Wednesday.

Odisha BJP General Secretary Lekhshree Samantasinghar said that Nadda is coming to the state as part of his ‘Lok Sabha Pravasi’ campaign.

After reaching Bhubaneswar, Nadda will go to Tumudibandha in Baliguda assembly constituency of Kandhamal Lok Sabha constituency. He is scheduled to inaugurate the girls’ hostel at Jalspeta Ashram School for tribal girls, established by late VHP leader Swami Laxmananand Saraswati. The party leader said that he would address the first public meeting at Tumidibandha Mini Stadium.

Nadda is scheduled to reach Banapur under Chilka assembly constituency of Puri Lok Sabha constituency and address another public meeting in the afternoon. He will also visit Devi Bhagwati temple.

The BJP president’s visit to Puri Lok Sabha seat is considered politically significant as Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik addressed his BJD party leaders and workers in the pilgrimage town on 26 December.

Earlier, Nadda had visited Odisha in September this year and addressed a public meeting in Bhubaneswar.
