Nagpur: Nandanvan police have seized two country-made revolvers and seven cartridges from the residence of two arms dealers, Naushad Ansari and Mohd Saquib Mohd Sadiq at Hasanbagh on Sunday.
The duo, who was nabbed after a tip-off, claimed the arms and ammunitions were sourced from a fraudster-cum-gangster Pappu Patel, said sources. Nandanvan police have filed a case under the Arms Act.tnn

Man held at airport with cartridges
Sameer Kapoor, a 27-year-old man from Churu district, was arrested at Jaipur International Airport for carrying five live cartridges. Kapoor, who had arrived at the airport to catch a flight, was caught by CISF during routine screening. He was charged under the Arms Act and stated that he found the cartridges while working on an AC installation in Churu.

A joint team of Assam Rifles and Churachandpur police seized a huge cache of arms, explosives, and other war-like stores in the Kuki-Zo-Hmar-dominated district. The recovered weapons include a 5.56mm M4 A1 assault rifle, a 9mm pistol with magazines, seven single-barrel rifles, and 12 improvised mortars.
