Nana Patekar talks about the difference between ‘Welcome’ and ‘The Vaccine War’; reveals why he isn’t a part of ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Nana Patekar recently opened up about being a part of films like ‘Welcome’ and ‘The Vaccine War‘. He also revealed why he is not a part of ‘Welcome to the Jungle‘ after being part of the first two instalments.
At the trailer launch of the Vivek Agnihotridirectorial, Nana said, “You need to put the same amount of effort while doing Welcome and The Vaccine War. In fact, everything is convincing here while over there, nothing is convincing, you need to make it convincing for which you need to put in added effort.I’m not doing Welcome (to the Jungle) because they may feel I’ve become old that’s why they didn’t take me. He (Director Vivek Agnihotri) doesn’t feel I’ve become old, so he took me. It’s that simple. The industry is never shut for you, if you wish to do good work, people will come, ask about you, you need to know whether you wish to work, can work, so I take this (The Vaccine War) as my first and last chance.” Nana’s character ‘Uday Shetty’ from the Welcome franchise received a lot of love and appreciation from the audience.

Welcome to the Jungle’ boasts of an ensemble star cast which includes Akshay Kumar, Raveena Tandon, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Jacqueline Fernandez, Disha Patani, Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Lara Dutta and Arshad Warsi in the film. The film is slated to hit the theatres on Christmas 2024.

Meanwhile, ‘The Vaccine War’ also stars Anupam Kher, Nana Patekar, Sapthami Gowda, and Pallavi Joshi in the lead roles.
According to the makers, the movie is based on the true story of Indian scientists, their fight against the COVID-19 pandemic and how they developed an affordable vaccine for India and the world. The film will be released on September 28 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
