On 29 December 2022, the Indian Air Force successfully tested the BrahMos air-launched missile in the Bay of Bengal from a Sukhoi Su-30 fighter aircraft.
Next Generation BrahMos can be fitted in platforms like MiG-29, Mirage 2000 and Light Combat Aircraft (LCA). This will make ground attacks on the China border more effective. Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhary gave this information on Wednesday.
Air Chief Marshal said – Next generation BrahMos will be of small version. Which can also be released from small fighter planes. We felt the need for this after the skirmish with China in Ladakh 3 years ago. After that we started working on it. After attaching BrahMos on the fighter aircraft Sukhoi SU-30, the capability of the Air Force has increased.
CDS said – BrahMos missile is the Brahmastra of the country
CDS Anil Chauhan said- Today the world is looking towards us with hopes.
India’s Chief of Defense Staff General (CDS) Anil Chauhan described the BrahMos missile as the country’s Brahmastra. He said, self-reliance does not mean that we produce everything in India. This is not even possible for a developing country like ours. We are going to set up a joint venture. These will be of different types and BrahMos Aerospace is one such venture.
He said, many changes are taking place in the country today. Our stature is increasing in the international environment. Today the world is looking towards us with hope.
Supersonic missile with all three forces
BrahMos supersonic cruise missile has been received by all the three forces so far. The first supersonic missile was received by the Indian Navy in 2005, the Indian Army in 2007 and the Indian Air Force in 2020. Now in the next few years, India will also have its own hypersonic missile.
BrahMos missile was successfully tested from the new warship INS Mormugao on 13 May.
The BrahMos missile has been successfully test-fired from the new warship INS Mormugao inducted into the Indian Navy. The missile directly hit the target. INS Mormugao has been designed by the Warship Design Bureau of the Indian Navy. It is the world’s most modern missile carrier equipped with weapons.

Along with BrahMos, the capabilities of Sukhoi were also tested. This fighter aircraft has become the strength of the Navy along with the Air Force.
The Indian Airforce successfully test-fired the BrahMos air-launched missile in the Bay of Bengal in December 2022. It can target targets up to 400 km away. The Air Force said in its official statement – This missile was tested from Sukhoi Su-30 fighter aircraft. During the test, the missile hit the target ship in the middle. It is the anti-ship version of the air-launched version of the missile.
