Nothing: Phone 2 will be ‘Made in India’: Here’s when the phone could launch

Carl Pei’s Nothing is preparing to bring its second smartphone. This smartphone named Nothing Phone 2 will be manufactured in India. According to a PTI report, Manu Sharma, Vice President and GM of Nothing India, has confirmed that the handset will indeed be made in India and sold in the country itself.

Sharma said in a statement,phone (2) India – going to be manufactured in Tamil Nadu. Made in India phones will be for consumption in India.”

He continued “Nothing smartphone is better known for its iconic transparent design. These designs require high-tech manufacturing processes and precision engineering, which has led to an increase in smartphone manufacturing capabilities in India. Our drive to make in India reflects our commitment to local consumers and their demands. We are proud to announce that the phone (2) will be manufactured in India.”

Nothing The processor of the upcoming Nothing Phone 2 has already been confirmed. The tech company has announced that it has collaborated with Qualcomm to equip the phone with the powerful Snapdragon 8 series processor.

Previous reports have suggested that the handset will launch in summer this year. It has been told in the latest reports that the Phone 2 will be launched in the next month i.e. July.

Expected Features in Nothing Phone 2

The Nothing Phone (2) is said to come with significant upgrades over its predecessor, the Phone 1. The smartphone will retail through Walmart-owned Flipkart in the country.

Nothing CEO Carl Pei previously said that the Nothing Phone (2) would be “more premium” than the existing Nothing smartphone. He has also confirmed that the handset will be launched in the US later this year as well.

Recently, alleged renders of the Phone 2 were shared by Smartprix. It can be seen in the leaked images that the LED lights cover most of the area of ​​the back panel of the phone. The lighting elements around the camera module also seem to have been redesigned, giving them a better ‘visual appeal’.

The sides of the device are curved. The phone is rumored to be offered in two color variants – Black and White.
