Pawan Kalyan says Amaravati will remain Andhra Pradesh capital if Jana Sena Party comes to power

Jana Sena Party President Pawan Kalyan has announced that Amaravati will be retained as the capital of Andhra Pradesh if his party is voted to power in the 2024 elections.

Shri Jagan Mohan Reddy should have come up with a policy to attract people from every region of the state to Amaravati as happened in Cyberabad in undivided Andhra Pradesh. “Instead, the chief minister is playing the three-capital drama,” he said.

Referring to the welfare of Dalits, Shri Pawan Kalyan alleged that Shri Jagan Mohan Reddy has canceled 18 welfare schemes for Dalits. “What is the point of building a 100 feet tall statue of Dr BR Ambedkar if welfare schemes for Dalits are scrapped?” He asked.

‘Possibility of early elections’

Claiming that Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy was preparing for early elections in the state, Mr. Pawan Kalyan said, “Elections are likely to be held in November or December. Youth should vote wisely. The Kapu community should decide whether they should vote for a Chief Minister who has denied reservation to the community.

Pointing to the party’s election manifesto, Shri Pawan Kalyan said that he was planning to supply sand free of cost to families belonging to Below Poverty Line (BPL) category and release grants to local bodies, if the JSP was voted to power.
