Prabhu Deva welcomes a daughter with his second wife.
Prabhu Deva confirmed that he and his second wife have welcomed a daughter. The director recently celebrated his 50th birthday.
Prabhu Deva has assumed fatherhood again at the age of 50. The acclaimed choreographer and director welcomed a baby girl, his first daughter with his second wife Dr Himani. Prabhu confirmed the news while talking to a news portal. This is his fourth child. Prabhu is Ramlatha’s son from her previous marriage.
Speaking to Times of India, Prabhu Deva said, “Yes! It is true. I am a father again at this age (50). I feel so happy and fulfilled.” He said that he has decided to reduce his workload and now wants to spend more time with his family. “I have already reduced my workload. I felt I was doing too much work, just running around… I’m done. I want to spend some time with my family,” he said.
Prabhudheva married Dr. Himani in 2020. The marriage took place nine years after the divorce of Prabhu and his first wife, Ramlatha. The former couple had three sons together. The eldest son died in 2008 due to brain tumour, while the other two sons live with Ramlata.
The filmmaker has kept his second wife and marriage away from the limelight. While the couple is yet to appear in public, she was seen in a video celebrating his 50th birthday in April 2023. She was seen sharing her wishes to the filmmaker.
In the video, she revealed that it has been three years since they were together. She called their journey ‘wonderful’ and said, “Many things amaze me about you. You are so disciplined and hardworking and yet the most joyful person. You set an example of how a person can be proud, hilarious Be kind, caring and loving. You are blessed with a sense of humor and your presence lightens up my atmosphere all the time. I am lucky and blessed to be married to you.
On the work front, Prabhu has directed several films including Salman Khan’s Radhe, Dabangg 3 and Shahid Kapoor’s R..Rajkumar.
