Preity Zinta revealed that “this incredible and ancient temple” is the first temple her children have seen.
Preity Zinta along with her husband Gene Goodenough and twins Jay and Jia visited Hateshwari Mata Temple in Shimla. The actress shared a montage video of her family’s temple visit on Instagram. Preeti has written a long note in the caption revealing her connection with this temple. The actress claimed that “this incredible and ancient temple” is the “first” that her children have ever seen. Though Preeti didn’t show the faces of her children, the family looked lovely to seek the blessings of the goddess.
Dressed in a beautiful mustard suit, Preeti held her son Jai with her head covered with a dupatta. At the same time, Jean was wearing a black T-shirt with matching jeans and daughter Jia was in her lap. From showcasing an aerial view of this temple to family photographs, the video summed up their journey perfectly. In one of the snippets, Preeti is also seen helping little Jai ring the bell at the temple. The family also offered holy water to the idol.
In the caption, Preeti elaborated on how this temple played a big role in her childhood. While sharing the video, the actress wrote, “When I was a small child, I used to frequently visit Hateshwari Mata Temple in Hatkoti, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. This temple has played a big role in my childhood and I have always felt very connected to it. Now that I am a mother, it is only natural that the first temple my kids visited was this incredible and ancient temple.
Preeti said that since her children are too young to remember this trip, she would plan her trip again. “Here’s a glimpse of our trip. I am sure Jai and Giya will not miss this trip so we will have to come back again… because maa aka bulawa phir phir zaroor aayega… Jai Maa Durga – Jai Mahishasuramardini… If any of you get a chance to visit here, don’t miss it. It’s magical, mysterious and amazingly beautiful and yes you can thank me later.”
Earlier, the actress shared a video of Jai playing in a garden. She revealed that this was the first time her children called her “mom”.
Preity married Gene Goodenough in February 2016 in Los Angeles. The couple announced the birth of their twins Jay and Jia Zinta Goodenough in 2021 via surrogacy.
