Mysuru: Congress candidate Geetha Shivarajkumar and her husband, noted actor Shivarajkumar, on Sunday re-launched electioneering in Shivamogga town and Thirthahalli.
Addressing the press, Shivarajkumar emphasized the sincerity of his family, stating, “Raj’s family never manipulates people and speaks from the heart. The Congress p arty has given justice to women in the allocation of seats,”
The actor expressed confidence that the public is seeking change and denied any manipulative tactics by his family.
“The response is good. Every voter is seeking a change. Our family is not manipulating anyone and I am a straightforward person. I can suggest that my wife understands the local problem quickly.”
“Women MPs are very few in India. We want to establish their empire. We have no strategies and work directly from the heart. I understand politics and have been voting for four decades,” he said,
To a query about BJP MP Shobha Karandlaje meeting Punith Rajkumar’s wife Aswini, the actor stated that there was nothing wrong with it.
‘Legal team will look
into any EC notice’
When asked about the BJP’s request to the Commission, which sought to halt all his endorsements in advertising and films until the election concludes, Shivarajkumar replied he is now aware of it and his legal team would look into any such issues.
