SP MLA beating BJP candidate’s husband inside the police station.
A video of SP MLA Rakesh Pratap Singh’s bullying has surfaced from Amethi on Wednesday. In this, he is beating Deepak Singh, husband of BJP municipality candidate Rashmi Singh, inside the Gauriganj police station. They hurled several slaps and punches till the police could stop the MLA. He is also beaten after falling on the ground.
On the other hand, SP workers vandalized Deepak Singh’s car as well. The police somehow rescued Deepak from Rakesh Pratap Singh and took him to a safe place. MLAs were sitting on dharna in the police station since last night
In fact, on Tuesday Gauriganj SP MLA Rakesh Pratap Singh alleged that his maternal uncle’s son and another person were beaten up by Deepak Singh’s supporters. Due to which he has got serious injury. He hasn’t even regained consciousness yet. Police is not registering case. The SP MLA along with his supporters were sitting on a dharna inside the police station from 8 pm last night regarding the arrest of the accused.
Deepak comes there in a black colored car. SP supporters surrounded the vehicle outside the police station and vandalized it.
The fight went on for about 20 minutes
BJP candidate Rashmi’s husband Deepak reached the police station on Wednesday morning. He was standing after getting down from the car when the SP MLA sitting on the dharna came out. He caught Deepak and immediately slapped him several times. The policemen kept stopping the MLA. But the MLA caught hold of the lamp and started kicking and punching it on the ground.
After this, a fight broke out between the supporters of the MLA and the BJP. After about 20 minutes of fighting, the police could free both the groups. After this, hundreds of supporters of SP and BJP reached the police station.
The MLA said – the police want to kill me and my family
SP MLA Rakesh Singh told that Deepak’s goons had beaten up my maternal uncle’s son. Police is not taking action.
Regarding the incident, SP MLA Rakesh Pratap Singh said, “My maternal uncle’s son was badly beaten up by BJP goons last day. His hands and legs are fractured. He has a head injury. Due to this he is still conscious.” Has not even come. I came to the police station and showed the video of this fight to the police.
After this, the arrest of the accused was demanded. But the police did nothing. Case was not even registered. Goons are roaming freely in Amethi. Police is not catching them. Even top 10 criminals are roaming freely. The police want to kill me and my family.”

Deepak Singh said, first the supporters carried out a murderous attack outside the police station. After this the MLA hit inside.
BJP candidate Rashmi’s husband Deepak Singh said, “I was passing in front of the police station after returning from Barna Tikar. When I went inside the police station to defend myself, SP MLA Rakesh Pratap Singh and his supporters, who were already there, attacked me. I was badly beaten up.”
