UP Crime News: Police constable chasing motorcycle riders shot dead in UP’s Jalaun. Lucknow News – Times of India

Lucknow: A 35-year-old police constable was shot dead Jalaun On Wednesday in the Uttar Pradesh area when he was chasing some suspicious people on a bike.
Jalaun Superintendent of Police Iraj Raja said that the victim constable Bhedjit Singh, posted at the highway police post, tried to stop the two men on a motorcycle.
“When the bike riders did not stop, they chased them and during the chase, they fired shots which hit the policeman in the head, killing him on the spot,” Raja said.
He said senior police officers and a forensic team have reached the spot and efforts are on to nab the accused.
Four teams have been formed which are searching the houses of the accused.
The deceased constable was a resident of Chaurambar village in Mathura.
He was selected in the Police Department in 2021 and got the first posting in Jalaun.
A senior official said that the family members have been informed about the incident.
