OnePlus hasn’t officially confirmed the launch of the OnePlus Fold, which is rumored to happen in August. However, the specifications of the company’s first folding smartphone have leaked, which suggests that it could be an upgraded version of the OnePlus 11 5G with a foldable design.
As per a report by 91Mobiles, the OnePlus Fold is expected to include an 8-inch primary display using QHD+ OLED technology with 120Hz refresh rate. Additionally, the Cover Display is expected to offer a viewing area of 6.5-inch, with full-HD resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. These displays are likely to be equipped with the same high-quality AMOLED panels found on current OnePlus flagship devices.
As per the leaked information, the OnePlus Fold is tipped to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and pack a 4,800mAh battery with 80W fast charging capabilities. The highest configuration of the device could offer up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.
Similar to the OnePlus 11, the phone is rumored to have three rear cameras: a 50-megapixel camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 32-megapixel periscope camera. Additionally, both the cover display and the primary display are expected to house a 32-megapixel selfie camera.
Upon its release, the OnePlus Fold will enter the competitive market of folding smartphones, facing strong contenders such as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, the Google Pixel Fold and the Tecno Fanton Fold.
Meanwhile, OnePlus is expected to launch the OnePlus Nord 3 5G in India soon, as a follow-up to the successful OnePlus Nord 2 model that was released in July 2021. The smartphone was recently spotted on the website of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). , indicating that its India launch is imminent. Earlier leaks had pointed towards a launch window of mid-May to mid-June for the OnePlus Nord 3 5G. A new leak has surfaced that shows the phone has been spotted on the OnePlus website in India, strongly suggesting that its release date is near.
According to a tweet by tipster Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings), the OnePlus Nord 3 5G has been spotted on OnePlus’ India website, indicating an early launch of the smartphone in India. Additionally, the tipster mentioned that the OnePlus Nord Buds 2R could also be unveiled alongside the upcoming device.
