Speed ​​up construction of Warangal Health City, TIMS hospitals: Harish

Finance and Health Minister Harish Rao has directed officials of the Roads and Buildings (R&B) Department to expedite the construction of the Warangal Health City. He stressed on speedy construction of three Telangana Institute of Medical Science (TIMS) hospitals at Sanath Nagar, LB Nagar and Alwal to complete the project by Dussehra and provide advanced medical care to those living in the suburbs.

During a review meeting on Wednesday, the minister thanked Chief Minister K.K. Told about the revolutionary efforts of Chandrasekhar Rao. Shri Harish Rao stressed the importance of setting up TIMS services which are at par with AIIMS in Delhi, construction of eight teaching hospitals and design of nine medical colleges to be completed this year.

He said that the Warangal Multi-Specialty Hospital would become a medical hub equipped with modern medical facilities, state-of-the-art modular operation theaters and air handling units to prevent the spread of infection.

The Telangana government had called for a comprehensive discussion with the employee and teacher unions to review the cashless medical services provided by the state government’s Aarogyasri programme. The aim was to prepare a report within 10 days which would help in bringing a new Aarogyasri policy in this financial year as requested by the employee unions.

During a recent review, Shri Harish Rao directed Aarogyasri CEO Vishalachi to expedite the process of developing the new policy.

Mr. Rao congratulated the officials for getting approval for six of the nine new medical colleges to be set up in the districts.
