SRH vs KKR: Chakraborty and co. Help Kolkata stop Hyderabad as Nitish Rana’s side bags crucial wins

SRH vs KKR: The Kolkata Knight Riders bowlers were led by Varun Chakraborty in a brilliant comeback win in the 47th match. IPL In 2023, KKR beat Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. Chasing a score of 171, SRH were headed for a win but KKR bowlers put the brakes on the home side’s batting and sealed a 5-run win.

With his back against the walls, Chakravarthy helped KKR pull off a stunning comeback. SRH needed 38 off the last 30 balls and they had the captain aiden markram Well set in the middle. However, in the last 5 overs, Chakraborty bowled three of them and conceded only 8 runs, taking the wicket of Abdul Samad in the final over.

The spinner conceded just 2 runs in the first two balls and then dismissed Samad at deep midwicket in the third ball. New batsman Markande scored only 1 run in the next two balls and Bhuvneshwar played a dot off the final ball as SRH sealed a famous victory.

Earlier, Thakur dismissed Klaasen in the 15th over while Vaibhav dismissed Markram in the 17th over. In the middle, Chakraborty bowled some tight overs to contain Hyderabad.

In the first innings, Kolkata scored 171 runs. Nitish Rana and Rinku Singh took KKR to a fightable total. Both missed out on half-centuries but did enough for KKR to give their bowlers a decent score. Rana scored 42 off 31 balls and Rinku scored 46 off 35 balls.
