Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, who is on an official visit to Japan, on Sunday took a 500-km bullet train journey to his capital Tokyo and said such a service could also benefit Indian citizens.

In a tweet, he said: “Journey from Osaka to Tokyo on the #BulletTrain; Will cover a distance of around 500 km in less than two and a half hours.” and shared a few pictures of his journey.

“A railway service equal to #BulletTrain not only in design but also in speed and quality should come up for use in our India. May the poor and middle class people get benefits and their journey be easy! #FutureIndia,” he said.

The CM had earlier embarked on a two-nation official tour to Singapore and Japan to attract more investments in Tamil Nadu.
