The Adah Sharma-starrer “The Kerala Story”, directed by Sudipto Sen, continues to be a box office success despite facing controversies attracting attention. The film has performed strong even after the release was banned in several states including West Bengal. Remarkably, within just 10 days of its release, the film crossed the Rs 100 crore mark, joining the coveted club. Though the collections might be down a bit as compared to the previous days, “The Kerala Story” remains unstoppable and maintains its strong momentum.

As per the box office records, the film collected Rs 6.40 crore on its 15th day, resulting in a total collection of approximately Rs 171.72 crore. Impressively, the film is doing well on weekdays as well, demonstrating its enduring popularity and resilience at the box office.

Recently Adah Sharma talked about the film. She told Rediff.com, “Till now nobody has delved deeply into the subject, we exposed the nexus for the first time. Whatever we saw and heard, we put it on the screen. In fact, the shooting started Before doing, during the workshops, Sudipto sir (director Sudipto Sen) played some videos of ISIS atrocities for us. About ‘The Kerala Story’:

‘The Kerala Story’ features actress Adah Sharma as Fathima Ba, a Hindu Malayali nurse who is among the 32,000 women who went missing from Kerala and later joined ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria). Gone. Forced to accept Islam. Also, the film highlights the ‘love jihad’ propaganda, where Muslim men manipulate Hindu girls to convert to Islam and abandon their families.

Soon after the film’s trailer was released, a petition was filed against it on the grounds of ‘hate speech of the worst kind’ and ‘audio-visual propaganda’. Several political leaders criticized the film and claimed that the makers are making false claims that it is a real story and the number of ‘32000 women’ is fake.
