Two Car Drivers Accuse Each Other Of Assault, Misconduct | Mangaluru News – Times of India

Mangaluru: Two persons travelling with their families in separate cars have accused each other of assault and misconduct towards the women accompanying them.
In a complaint, a man stated that when he was driving from Mangaluru to Bengaluru on Monday, along with his family; and upon reaching Golthamajalu village near KC road, another person, who was also driving, allegedly teased the women in the complainant’s car.
When questioned, he abused them. When the complainant drove the car forward, the accused car driver of the other car caused a minor accident, resulting in damage to the rear portion of the car. When the complainant stopped the car, the accused allegedly misbehaved with the complainant’s mother and snatched her gold chain, assaulted the complainant, and issued a death threat.
A case in this regard has been registered at the Bantwal Town police station under various provisions of the IPC.
A counter-case was registered, wherein the complainant alleged that while he was travelling in a car with his wife, and was near Narahari Parvatha, a car driver drove negligently and hit his car, causing damage to the mirror.
The complainant questioned him through hand gestures, and upon reaching near a petrol bunk at KC Road, the accused stopped his car, and four persons in the car abused the complainant.
It is alleged that the accused snatched the gold chain and spectacles of the complainant, and even abused and misbehaved with his wife.
The public arrived at the area, and the complainant and his wife, who sustained injuries due to the assault, were rushed to a hospital.
