Seven Die As Overloaded Auto Overturns In City | Patna News – Times of India

Patna: Seven persons, including three of a family, died and one was severely injured when an overloaded autorickshaw they were travelling in tumbled several times after apparently hitting a median strip on New Bypass Road under Kankarbagh police station in Patna in the early hours of Tuesday.
The accident took place at 3.44am, when the autorickshaw carrying eight passengers was on way to the bus stand at Zero Mile from Mithapur.
As it reached Ram Lakhan Path, the auto driver lost control after seeing a crane, which was engaged in Patna Metro Rail project, and the vehicle tumbled multiple times as a result the passengers fell on road, said traffic deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Anil Kumar.
