Janhvi Kapoor announces her next film with Roshan Mathew and Gulshan Devaiah
Janhvi Kapoor’s Ulaz is based on the journey of a young IFS officer who gets embroiled in a dangerous personal conspiracy.
After delivering strong female-centric films like Gunjan Saxena, Good Luck Jerry and Mili, Janhvi Kapoor is all set to step into the shoes of an IFS officer in the much-anticipated Uljh. The actress recently announced her next film with Roshan Mathew and Gulshan Devaiah. Produced by Junglee Pictures, the film will be directed by National Award winner Sudhanshu Sariya. The patriotic thriller is all set to go on floors by the end of this month.
Janhvi Kapoor recently expressed her excitement on being a part of the same. The actress shared, “When I was approached with the script of Uljh, it immediately appealed to me because as an actor, I am constantly on the lookout for scripts that take me out of my comfort zone and open my eyes to the world. Portray a character based in the famous world of. The Indian Foreign Service was just that. As the name of the film suggests, my character and the story have a lot of layers, emotions and parameters, which are challenging and exciting at the same time. The audience is thrilled to see me in this new role conceptualized by Sudhanshu, who has a fresh perspective to tackle the genre. I am looking forward to working with such talented co-actors and a development studio like Junglee Pictures for the first time.

In Janhvi Kapoor, the film has found its throbbing heart and it is going to be a treat for the audience to watch her play Rajesh Tailang and great actors like Sachin Khedekar, Gulshan Devaiah, Roshan Mathews and Meiyang Chang. We have a rollercoaster ride planned for our viewers and I can’t wait to roll the cameras on Ulaaz.”
Sources close to the production house shared that Ulaj follows the journey of a young IFS officer belonging to a prominent family of patriots, who gets embroiled in a dangerous personal intrigue away from his home turf in a career-defining post. Written by Parvez Shaikh and Sudhanshu Sariya, with dialogues by Atika Chauhan, this new-age thriller promises to be unlike anything the audience has seen in this genre.
The film also stars Rajesh Tailang, Meiyang Chang, Sachin Khedekar, Rajendra Gupta and Jitendra Joshi in pivotal roles.
