In Nagapattinam, Tamil Nadu, a Bharatiya Janata Party worker created ruckus at Tirupundi Government Primary Health Center for wearing a hijab to a female doctor doing night duty. This man named Bhuvaneshwar Ram argued with the doctor about his choice of clothes. The people present there made a video of this dispute. Now the police have registered a case against this person.

In the video, Bhuvneshwar Ram is heard asking the doctor if he is really a doctor as he is wearing a hijab and not an apron (white coat).

The incident took place on the night of May 24, when the accused Bhubaneswar had brought his neighbor to the Tirupundi dispensary after he complained of chest pain. But seeing the doctor in hijab, he created a ruckus. The people present there also recorded a video of Bhubaneshwar Ram’s ruckus. These people told the police that he was making a video of the female doctor at night without permission.

After the incident, the police registered three cases against the BJP member and started raids to arrest him.
