Vadodara Boy Scores 99.999 Percentile in JEE Mains | Vadodara News – Times of India

Vadodara: As the National Testing Agency (NTA) declared the results of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains 2024 session 1 exams, Kartik S Basant, a student of class 12 at the Gujarat Public School, Atladara, scored 99.999 percentile.
“Now, my entire focus is on clearing JEE Advanced to get into one of the top IITs,” said Kartik, whose father Basant Kumar is a senior associate in the State Bank of India (SBI), while mother Sulochana Kumari is a teacher at a primary school.“My interest was inclined towards Maths,” said Kartik, who scored 100 percentile in Mathematics.
“My goal is to get into IIT Mumbai or IIT Delhi and pursue tech-related courses, be it computer science or artificial intelligence,” said Kartik, adding that he never attended his school or coaching class without reading. “My teachers have supported me a lot with regular tests and doubt clearing sessions ,” he said.
“While Kartik has topped the city and is amongst top scorers in Gujarat, there are 30 plus students who have scored 99 percentile and above,” said S R Mishra, director of IIT Ashram. Dhwanit Gajjar who secured 99.86 percentile.
