Water lines for drains, Mcg to work in colonies. Gurgaon News – Times of India

Gurgaon: mcg An estimated Rs 1.6 crore budget has been approved for carrying out development work in the licensed colonies taken over by the civic body in June last year. The works will include improving water supply, repairing storm water drains, sewer lines and more.
The operation and maintenance of the water supply system in Greenwood City will be outsourced to a private firm and the estimated cost for a one-year contract will be around Rs 17.1 lakh.
The civic body will also undertake the repair work of storm water drains in Block B of Sushant Lok-1 for about Rs 24.5 lakh.
Sushant Lok-2 will get a new sewer line of 300 mm for about Rs 32.7 lakh. The proposal for cleaning and desilting of storm water line in Sushant Lok-3 has also been prepared at an estimated cost of Rs 14.2 lakh.
Besides this, the civic body will also carry out cleaning of sewer lines and desilt in all pockets of Sushant Lok-3 at an estimated cost of Rs 22.5 lakh. Operation and maintenance of tubewells and sewage treatment plants at Malibu Town, Rosewood City, Uppal Southend and Vipul World will be outsourced at an estimated cost of Rs 48.8 lakh.
We have approved various development works in consultation with the agencies involved in the tender process. Work on these projects will begin soon,” said PC Meena, MCG commissioner.
“We had recently met the MCG commissioner and raised the issue of blocked sewer lines and storm water drainage. The commissioner assured us that the lines would be cleared before the monsoon. Apart from licensed colonies, construction of open box type drain from Umang Bhardwaj Chowk to Gadauli Pulia at an estimated cost of Rs 1.9 crore, roads in Sector 10 worth Rs 1.6 crore, desilting and other development works were also approved. Drainage of rain water in Daulatabad Dhankot And Mohammedheri’s estimated cost is Rs 14 lakh etc.
