The company claims that the GPTZero platform analyzes text on two aspects – the randomness of the text, also known as perplexity, and the uniformity of this randomness within the text, also known as burstiness. The creator of GPTZero claims that the AI platform ChatGPT can identify the difference between text written by AI or humans.
On accuracy, the company said the platform has an accuracy rate of 99% for human text and 85% for AI text.
“We believe we can bring together some of the smartest people working on AI detection in one room,” Tian said. “The field of detection is very new and we believe it deserves more attention and support.”
