WhatsApp to make it easier to share QR code: Here’s what it means | – Times of India

WhatsApp recently rolled out some new features for better user experience. The popular instant messaging app is now reportedly working on a feature to share the QR code from the chats tab.
As reported by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is developing a feature which will enable the users to share the QR code from the chats tab. WhatsApp is exploring a shortcut to enable users to swiftly share their QR code directly from the chats tab for a forthcoming app update. Currently, users can share their QR code via the app settings, but this new feature will provide a more convenient and immediate method within the chats tab interface.
Notably, when sharing the QR code, it is anticipated to display the username rather than the phone number. Therefore, this feature may be implemented following the introduction of username support in the future.
“By integrating this feature into the chats tab interface, users will be able to easily share their QR codes without having to navigate through the app settings. In addition, having the shortcut within the chats tab encourages more frequent usage of the QR code-sharing feature,” mentions the report.
