Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy is India’s richest chief minister while his West Bengal counterpart Mamata Banerjee Has emerged as the ‘poorest chief minister’, according to a report by the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR).

The report analyzed the election affidavits of all the Chief Ministers of India. Jagan Reddy has movable and immovable assets worth Rs 510 crore, which is more than the combined assets of all chief ministers.

At the same time, Mamta Banerjee’s total assets are just Rs 15 lakh. She has zero immovable assets and is the only CM in India with assets below Rs 1 crore. With assets of only Rs 1 crore, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan claimed the second spot in the ‘Poorest Chief Minister’ list.

Reddy is followed by Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pemu Khandu with movable and immovable assets of Rs 163 crore, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik with movable and immovable assets of Rs 63.87 crore, Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio with assets of Rs 38 crore and With Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy. properties.

As per the report, there are 29 CM ‘crorepatis’ in India, whose average wealth is pegged at Rs 33.96 crore.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and his Meghalaya counterpart Konrad Sangma have assets worth Rs 17 crore and Rs 14 crore respectively. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and his Tamil Nadu counterpart MK Stalin figure in the list of chief ministers with assets between Rs 3 crore and Rs 10 crore.

Bharat Rashtra Samithi President and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao claimed the top spot in the list of chief ministers with highest declared liabilities. KCR’s net worth is Rs 23.5 crore while his liabilities are around Rs 8.8 crore.

After KCR, Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai comes second with liabilities of Rs 4.9 crore against declared assets of Rs 8.92 crore and Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde has liabilities of Rs 3.75 crore against declared assets of Rs 11.6 crore.

The analysis also reveals that 13 of the 30 chief ministers have serious criminal cases against them.
