Ludhiana: Police here have booked a man on the charge of sexually assaulting a woman and blackmailing her by taking her obscene pictures.
Vinay Pandey of Hargobind Nagar is also accused of blackmailing the woman into giving him her gold jewellery, and withdrawing money from her husband and mother-in-law’s ATM cards .
The woman alleged she had been friends with the accused.However, in May last year, he took her to a hotel in the city and gave her a drink laced with sedatives. She alleged that when she passed out, the accused sexually assaulted her and took obscene pictures of her.
She alleged that he used the same pictures to sexually exploit her, and blackmail her.
A police official said they were trying to arrest the accused
