Ludhiana: Koom Kalan police booked a man and his parents for dowry harassment after his wife committed suicide on Friday. It is alleged that earlier, when the woman was harassed, her parents intervened and resolved their issues but the harassment did not stop. The deceased has been identified as Sandeep Kaur, 29, a resident of Koom Kalan, who got married to Jagdeep Singh last year.Police have registered a case on the statements of the woman’s father. Police said that according to Sandeep’s family, her husband and in-laws harass Sandeep over petty issues and force her to bring valuables from her parents. Upset with this, the woman committed suicide on Friday. The accused are yet to be arrested. tnn
