Yash Raj Vyas: Two people arrested in the series of ‘Shamak’ thefts. Surat News – Times of India

Appearance: The crime branch tracking (DCB) Surat Police Police on Sunday arrested two persons in connection with the theft, which was carried out by the accused after drugging their targets.

both were identified as Yashraj Vyas And Yasin alias Sameer Vora was apprehended from Palanpur Patiya area. Police seized nine mobiles, one moped and one bike from them.
According to the police, Vyas used to befriend people during bus and train journeys and took their contact numbers. He would call her after a few days and tell her that he had come to her city and wanted to meet her. After reaching their home, he would add Trika 0.5 mg tablet to their glass of water or cup of tea.

Once the victim was asleep, Vyas would steal cash, mobile, vehicle and other valuables from his house and flee. Later he would give the stolen goods to Vora who would sell them in the market.
With the arrest of Vyas and Vora, the police have solved two cases of theft – one registered at Surat’s Khatodara police station and the other with the Bengaluru city police.
Police said that both Vyas and Vora are history-sheeters. Three cases are registered against Vyas at Umra, Athwalines and Punagam police stations. Vora was earlier arrested by the Rander police in an extortion case.
