Man Dies By Suicide, Family Blames Police | Vadodara News – Times of India

Vadodara: An investigation was ordered after the family of a 28-year-old man who died by suicide accused the Jarod police for his death.
Nitin Parmar from Kumetha village hanged to death at his house on Monday night. His family alleged that Parmar was beaten by cops and hence he ended his life as he couldn’t take the humiliation.
Parmar’s family said that he was out shopping in the village when some cops from Jarod police station took him away on Monday.They said that they asked the cops as to why they apprehended Parmar but they didn’t reveal anything and made him sit in their police van.
Parmar returned home after some time and cried profusely, said his family. Parmar later hung himself at his residence. When contacted, Jarod police inspector K J Jhala said, “The FIR filed by the family doesn’t mention anything about Parmar being roughed up by the police and that being the reason behind the suicide. Yes, he was questioned by the cops but wasn’t beaten up.” TNN
