Raj HC judge Arun Bhansali appointed Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court | Allahabad News – Times of India

Prayagraj: Justice Arun Bhansali, senior judge of Rajasthan high court, has been appointed Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court. He will take oath soon. Post of Chief Justice of Allahabad high court had fallen vacant after retirement of Justice Pritinker Diwaker on Nov 21.
In a notification dated Feb 2 by ministry of law and justice, New Delhi, it was stated, “In exercise of powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 217 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint Justice Arun Bhansali, Judge Rajasthan high court to be Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court, with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office.”
Born on Oct 15, 1967, Justice Arun Bhansali got himself enrolled as lawyer on July 8, 1989.Subsequently, he was elevated as judge of Rajasthan high court on Jan 8, 2013. Before he was appointed to the judiciary, he had gathered significant experience at high court in Jodhpur, where he focused on a variety of legal areas, including taxes, corporate law, civil law and constitutional concerns. In the course of his almost 11-year service as high court judge, Justice Arun Bhansali has authored over 1,230 reported judgments, leaving a remarkable legacy for the judiciary.
