SUDA proposes 931cr budget for FY 2024-25 | Surat News – Times of India

Surat: The budget of Rs 931 crore of Surat Urban Development Authority (SUDA) for 2024-25 was presented at its board meeting on Friday. In the budget, Rs 472 crore income and Rs 459 crore expenditure have been projected.
While Rs 20 crore has been allotted for development work at Suvali beach, an allocation of Rs 67 crore has been made for the outer ring road.
SUDA will propose Kamrej-Palsana Corridor draft town planning scheme to the government after board’s approval. In the scheme, 1% of the total area has been reserved for parking.
Of the total land of the TP scheme, 5% land has been reserved for housing schemes for socially and economically weaker sections.
Further, SUDA has approved streetlight installation on Dandi Path in Saniya Kande Karadwa village panchayat at a cost of Rs 74 lakh, streetlight project on Chalthan Vakaneda road at a cost of Rs 1 crore, on the stretch from Kamrej crossroads to Kamrej village at a cost of Rs 2.5 crore, and on the stretch from Kharwasa to Vanz at Rs 1 crore.
Stormwater drainage line to be laid at a cost of Rs 2 crore in Chalthan. Sewage drainage line will be laid in Chalthan at a cost of Rs 1.35 crore.
New road from Chalthan to Vakaneda and Antroli has been approved at a cost of Rs 12 crore.
