Prayagraj: If one gets freedom to do what one likes, one can excel in any field of choice, said Sangita Srivastava, vice-chancellor of Allahabad University, addressing a huge gathering of intellectuals, academicians and lawyers, on Saturday. The acting Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court Manoj Kumar Gupta also graced with his presence the programme organised to highlight the work of an upcoming poet Shilpi Goyal at a hotel in Civil Lines here.Shilpi Goyal’s collection of poems were reflections of a wandering heart, said Sangita Srivastava, termed it as “a collection of emotions which we often go through in life”. She added, “Women are full of instincts and sensitivity because of the way they are nurtured in the society.” Child welfare expert, Rupa Shakar, also appreciated the poems written in English language. Shilpi Goyal said her poems were all related to emotions we know but never get the time to ponder over. Terming her expressions in poem as “Dharmyudh”, she said they were born out of her internal “Kurushetra” (turmoil) and said it was a culmination of the support of her family and friends.tnn
