In 2020, we wrote to the authorities that since the station complex is being built on a wetland, there could be complications like monsoon flooding.
He said that it is unfortunate to see that destruction of mangroves, wetlands is still happening in parts of Kharghar, Uran and Raigad districts. “We are not against developmental projects, but there should be some balance between environment and development,” Kumar said.
