Visakhapatnam Police Commissioner says everyone should work together to create a drug free society

Commissioner of Police CM Trivikram Verma on Monday said that the goal of police is to create a drug free society and to achieve this goal every individual, NGOs, educational institutions and communities need to work together. The city police has launched an anti-drug and anti-ganja campaign, under which they have organized an awareness program at an engineering college in Duvvada.

Speaking during the program, Mr. Trivikram Verma said that consumption of narcotics and ganja affects not only health but also family relations and further leads to economic crisis. He advised the students that the youth should focus on making their career, study well, get a good job and take care of their family, but they should not get attracted towards drugs.

The Commissioner of Police interacted with the students and informed them about the sections of the law under which they would be prosecuted for indulging in such activities.

On this occasion, the police personnel issued a poster regarding the anti-drug and ganja campaign.

Renowned psychologist MVR Raju, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone II) K.K. Anand Reddy, College Management and Staff were present.
